Miss Exceptional Long Island is a unique?beauty pageant that allows girls with disabilities to gain self-confidence and experience all that life has to offer. Everyone deserves a chance to shine and everyone deserves the opportunity to unleash their fullest potential.?Our pageant was specifically designed to allow girls with any disability to own the spotlight and to?discover the exceptional beauty inside of them.?Each and every exceptional lady will walk away with pride, inspiration, and new friends.?Anyone, any age can enter.?Although the pageant is located on Long Island, you are allowed to be from any part of the USA to enter. We work?to make everything at Miss Exceptional accessible to each and every disability.
On the day of the pageant, a hair and makeup crew trained to work with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, will pamper each girl?to make her feel like a queen! There will be an opening dance number, evening gown and costume competitions and optional competitions for talent and other special awards.?
Each delegate will receive a crown, sash bouquet of flowers and a check to the organization of her choice which will be her platform in the pageant.?
In last years pageant four beautiful girls competed and put on a wonderful show. This year we are looking to expand our pageant and have more girls join us for this wonderful experience. To make the show run as smoothly as possible we are also looking for volunteers (our website has more info on this!) We also would appreciate anyone willing to sponsor our girls.
