The United States finished atop Group C after defeating Costa Rica 1-0 in the CONCACAF Gold Cup on Tuesday.
Brek Shea proved to be the hero in the match after scoring an 82nd minute goal; Landon Donovan provided the assist on the tally.
With nine points, the United States becomes the only team in the tournament to win all three games. The team will now take on El Salvador in its quarterfinals matchup.

Costa Rica will now have to face off against Honduras in the elimination rounds.
